- 作品解説: 画面を大きく取り、土手のような切り立った場所に無数の花が咲いている。右下には煙突が見えるが、手前の花よりも低い位置で煙が棚引いている。村上は1回の筆のストロークで複数の色の絵の具が混ざっていることがよくある。画面上で先に塗った絵具が乾かないうちから塗り重ねるので、画面上で色が合わさっていくことも多いが、パレットでも同様に異なる色どうしが混ざり合い、筆に拾われていく。絵の具をねじ伏せながら制作をすすめるダイナミックな感覚が迫力ある画面を生み出す要素となっている。Description: A large area of the painting shows numerous flowers blooming on a steep bank-like terrain. A chimney can be seen in the lower right corner, but the smoke shelves lower than the flowers in the foreground. Murakami often mixes multiple colors of paint in a single brush stroke. Since he paints over the paint before it dries on the screen, the colors are often combined on the screen, and similarly on the palette, different colors are mixed together and picked up by the brush. The dynamic sensation of working with the paints in a twisting motion is an element that gives birth to powerful paintings.
