- 作品解説: 凹凸のある水彩画用紙に瀬戸内の景色が描かれている。西洋発祥の水彩絵具をもちいて、要所を押さえ少ない手数で東洋的な温暖で湿潤な空気感を表すことができるのが石川の持ち味であろう。台湾で洋画の普及につとめ、台湾洋画の父とも言われる石川欽一郎は、三宅克己よりも3歳年上で、石川21歳のときに三宅と知り合い、水彩画家として以後親交を深めた。1914（大正3）と1936（昭和11）年に三宅克己と二人展が開催されている。Description: Setouchi scenery is depicted on uneven watercolor paper. Ishikawa's ability to use watercolors, which originated in the West, to express the warm and humid atmosphere of the Orient in a few keystrokes is his specialty. He and Katsumi Miyake held two-person exhibitions in 1914 and 1936.
