- 作品解説: 斜面に民家が立ち並び、その下の水面には建物が映しだされている。白色の壁や戸が光に反射して輝いてみえること、作業をする人物が軽装であることから、季節は初夏から盛夏にかけてであろうか。家々は立体的に描きながらも平面性があり、まるで模様が積みあがっているようにも見え、西洋的と東洋の絵画技法を往還しているその中間的な表現が石井の持ち味でもある。Description: Houses stand side by side on a slope, and the buildings are reflected in the water below. The white walls and doors seem to shine in the light, and the light clothing of the workers suggests that the season is from early to mid-summer. The houses are painted three-dimensionally, yet have a flat surface, and appear as if they are piled up with patterns.
