- 作品解説: 右手に扇子を持ち、少し緊張した面持ちの舞妓。稽古の最中であるのか、あるいは何か別の感情による緊張なのか、様々な推測が広がる。人物や衣装を暈して描いているため一瞬の動作を画面に収めたような効果が生まれている。田中善之助が効果的に用いた紫色も背景や衣装など要所に見られ、色彩が美しい。Description: A maiko, holding a fan in her right hand, looks a little nervous. One can only speculate whether she is in the middle of training or whether her nervousness is due to some other emotion. The artist has created the effect of capturing a momentary movement on the screen by painting the figures and their costumes in a dazed manner. The color purple, used effectively by Zennosuke Tanaka, can be seen in the background, costumes, and other key areas, and the colors are beautiful.
