- 作品解説: パリ近郊のモレ=シュル=ロワンは水辺の美しい小さな町で、シスレー他印象派の画家たちが訪れ制作した聖地でもある。日本の画家たちも 1920 年代を中心に、パリから少し離れたこの町でヨットなどを楽しんだ。三宅克己もこの町の水辺に注目し、セーヌ川の支流のロワン川を画面に大きく割いている。Description: Moret-sur-Loing, near Paris, is a beautiful small town by the water, and a sacred place visited by Sisley and other impressionist painters. Japanese painters also enjoyed yachting and other activities in this town, which is a short distance from Paris, mainly in the 1920s. Katsumi Miyake also paid attention to the waterfront of this town and devoted a large portion of his painting to the Rowan River, a tributary of the Seine.
