- 作品解説: 1923 （大正 12） 年から 27 （昭和 2） 年にかけてフランスに留学していた大久保作次郎が、本作を描いたのは最も落ち着いて制作に励んでいたであろう時期であることは想像に難くない。シスレーが同地を愛し、晩年を過ごしたモレのロワン河の畔で、二本の木を手前に配して絵画化しているところは、大久保の後半期の作品に通じる構図である。木漏れ日を生かした表現も終始一貫している。Description: Sakujiro Okubo studied in France from 1923 to 1927, and it is not difficult to imagine that he painted this work at a time when he would have been most at ease with his work. The composition of the two trees in the foreground is similar to the composition of Okubo's later works. The use of sunlight filtering through the trees is also consistent throughout the painting.
