- 作品解説: きわめて需要が高かったであろう、紅梅と鴛鴦を描いた図。梅の枝は薄墨で一気に描き、蕾や花びらも自然な感じに見せるために配置のバランスを考えてそれらしく仕上げている。鴛鴦の目は少しつむりかけにし、波紋を入れて動きをあらわすことで、春の期待に胸躍らせる雰囲気を生み出している。Description: A painting of red plum blossoms and mandarin ducks, which must have been in high demand. The branches of the plum tree are painted all at once in light black ink, and the buds and petals are arranged in a balanced manner to look natural. The eyes of the mandarin duck are slightly glazed over and ripples are added to show movement, creating an atmosphere of excited anticipation for spring.
