- 作品解説: 紅梅に雀の組み合わせは多くの日本画家が画題として取り上げている。雀を正面に捉える図像は少ないながらもないことはないが、画面の中央に一羽の雀をここまで正面から堂々と捉えた作品はまれであろう。Description: The combination of red plum blossoms and sparrows has been the subject of many paintings by Japanese artists. While there are a few works that feature a sparrow in the foreground, it is rare to see a single sparrow in the center of a painting so majestically placed in front of the viewer.
