- 作品解説: 箱書きには、本作が晩春の奈良県郡山市で描かれたとある。左上に見える滝が、鹿の足元近くに流れついている。手前の牡鹿は勇壮な雰囲気をたたえてゆっくりと歩み、その向こう側には雌鹿が少し小走りで首を傾けた容姿を見せている。時雨はわずかな線で確認できるだけであるが、朦朧とした霧が秋のさわやかな湿度を感じさせている。Description: The box inscription states that this work was painted in Koriyama City, Nara Prefecture, in late spring. The waterfall seen in the upper left corner cascades down near the deer's feet. The stag in the foreground walks slowly with an air of bravery, while the doe on the other side of the waterfall is seen running slightly and tilting her head. The rainfall is only a faint line, but the hazy mist gives the impression of crisp autumnal humidity.
