- 作品解説: 「喬松 （きょうしょう）」 とは高く伸びた松のこと。中国古代の不老不死の仙人、王子喬 （おうしきょう） と赤松子 （せきしょうし） をもあらわし、「喬松の寿」 は長命長寿を意味する。本作は縦長の軸の画面いっぱいに松の幹を描き、枝がうねるように反り変えってふたたび画面内に登場している。琳派風の明快で柔らかい処理は、秀畝の得意とするところであった。Description: "Qiao pine" refers to a tall pine tree. The ancient Chinese immortal immortals Oshikyo and Sekishouzhi are also represented, and the phrase "longevity of Qiaoshou" means long life and longevity. In this work, the pine tree trunk fills the entire length of the painting on the vertical axis, and the branches undulate and bend back into the picture plane. The clear and soft treatment in the style of the Rimpa school was Hidesho's forte.
