- 作品解説: 「松声（しょうせい）」とは松の木に風が吹いて鳴る音で、松風の音を表すことから、天地間で松風の音が聞こえる様子を絵画化したものと思われる。高士は読書を止め、その音に聞き入っているのであろう。緑青の絵具による点苔が鮮やかなアクセントとなっている。Description: "Shosei" refers to the sound of the wind blowing on pine trees and represents the sound of the pine wind, so this painting may be a depiction of the sound of the pine wind between heaven and earth. The high priest probably stopped reading and listened to the sound. The dotted moss in greenish-blue paint is a vivid accent.
