- 作品解説: 初夏に描いたということで、山は緑青で塗られ、左の掛軸手前の木々の白い花は朱色を薄めてほのかなピンクを感じさせる色に仕上げている。孤山の文字見えること、鶴が二羽飛んでいることから、楼閣の窓から見える人物は、中国北宋の詩人・林和靖（りんなせい）で、手前の白い花を咲かせる木々は梅であろう。双幅にすることで、風景に広がりをもたらしているが、右側には楼閣へ向かう高士と童子が描かれており、高士は林和靖本人であるのか、あるいは友人が訪れる場面なのか、想像に任せるしかない。書付によると、この作品が描かれた際、小室は上海近くの巴城（はじょう）に滞在中であったようだ。The white flowers on the trees in the foreground of the scroll on the left are painted in a light vermilion with a hint of pink. The white blossoms on the trees in the foreground are probably plum blossoms. The double width of the painting gives the scene a sense of expansiveness, but the artist has left it up to the viewer's imagination to decide whether the gaoji and the child on the right side are Lin Hejing himself or his friend visiting the pavilion. According to the inscription, Komuro was staying in Bacheng near Shanghai when this work was painted.
