- 作品解説: 場所は不明だが、若葉の黄緑色が映える初夏のよく手入れされた日本庭園が描かれている。少し小高い場所に立ち、少し下りの傾斜がついて続いており、遠くまで庭園が続いている気配が、遠景の青い樹々から推測できる。題名の躑躅の花は両脇に控え目で上品に咲いている。柏亭の風景に対峙するときの澄んだ気持ちが伝わってくる作品である。Description: Although the location is unknown, this painting depicts a well-kept Japanese garden in early summer with the yellow-green color of young leaves. Standing on a slightly elevated site with a slight downward slope, one can infer from the blue trees in the distance that the garden extends far into the distance. The titled azalea flowers are blooming modestly and elegantly on both sides. This work conveys the clear feeling one gets when confronting the landscape of Kashiwa-tei.
