- 作品解説: 談古嶺は、香川県高松市屋島にある展望台としても名が知られた場所で、明治 30 年に伏見宮邦家親王の第 8 皇女であった村雲日栄尼 （むらくもにちえいに） が屋島登山をした際に、源平合戦の史跡の話を聞き、源氏の武士や平家公達たちを偲んで、談古嶺と命名したという。瀬戸内海の島々が展望できるこの場所から、柏亭はそれらをリズミカルに捉え、生命感を表現している。Description: Danko-rei is a well-known observatory on Yashima Island in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. When Murakumo-nichiei, the eighth daughter of Prince Kuniya of Fushiminomiya, climbed Yashima in 1897, she heard about the historical site of the Genpei Battle and named it Danko-rei in memory of the warriors of the Genji clan and the Heike nobles. From this vantage point from which the islands of the Seto Inland Sea can be viewed, Kashiwa-Tei captures them rhythmically, expressing a sense of life.
