- 作品解説: 画面右下の記述から、本作はロンドン中心部にあるフィンズバリ―・サーカス・ガーデンズからの眺めであることがわかる。題名は日本領事館附近とあるが、地図を見ると日本領事館からは 4 kmほど離れている。晴れた日のスケッチで、安定した構図の中、木々のコントラストが強調されている。Description: The description at the lower right of the screen indicates that this is a view from Finsbury Circus Gardens in central London. Although the title indicates that it is near the Japanese Consulate, the map shows that it is about 4 km away from the Japanese Consulate. The sketch was taken on a sunny day, and the contrast of the trees is emphasized in the stable composition.
