「会津八一」『日本美術年鑑』昭和32年版(180頁)美術史学者、歌人、書家として知られた会津八一は、胃潰瘍、心臓障害のため新潟大学附属病院に入院中、11月21日逝去した。享年75歳。号、秋艸道人、渾斎。自宅新潟市。明治14年8月新潟市に生れた。新潟中学在学中すでに俳句、和歌を学び、33年上京して更に、正岡子規の教えをうけた。39年早稲田大学英文科を卒業、有恒学舎、早稲田中学の講師をつとめたのち、早稲田大学教授となり、東洋美術史、奈良文化史を講じた。...
