「永瀬義郎」『日本美術年鑑』昭和54年版(279-282頁)版画家、洋画家の永瀬義郎は、3月8日直腸ガンのため東京港区の済生会中央病院で死去した。享年87。明治24年1月5日茨城県西茨城郡に生まれ、同42年白馬会原町洋画研究所で長原孝太郎の教えを受けたのち、同44年東京美術学校彫刻科に入学したが程なく中退、のち京都に赴いた。大正2年、文芸雑誌「聖盃」(同年「仮面」と改題)の同人となり、以後表紙絵や挿絵を担当し、また評論を発表した。翌3年には新劇運動に刺激さ...
