「赤松麟作」『日本美術年鑑』昭和29年版(162-163頁)関西洋画界の元老であつた赤松麟作は11月24日、大阪市天王寺区の自宅で喘息のため逝去した。享年75歳。岡山県津山に生れ、東京美術学校西洋画科選科を卒業、更に研究所に学んだのち、三重県や和歌山県の中学教員を暫くつとめた。この間、白馬会出品の「夜汽車」が白馬会賞となり注目をうけた。その後は大阪朝日新聞に勤務、或は大阪市立工芸学校、関西女子美術学校に勤める傍ら、文・帝展に出品をつづけ、つねに関西洋画壇の...
